Bylaws establish a link between the local PTA unit (WSES PTA) and the Virginia PTA and national PTA by which they are chartered. Bylaws represent the written contract between the membership and the PTA's elected officials, specifying what duties and responsibilities are assigned to each respective group.

Standing Rules are procedures, processes or other information that is not covered in your Bylaws, but these rules provide a framework for day-to-day operations of the PTA.  The WSES PTA Standing Rules were adopted in December 2021 and they are reviewed annually and revised as needed.
